our classes:
Beginners Yoga
The four-week introduction to yoga courses offer students who are new to Hatha
yoga a step-by-step introduction to the fundamentals of the yoga postures,
breathing techniques and yogic philosophy. We highly recommend that you take
this foundation course when beginning your yoga practice at Tree Frog Yoga.
This course can/should be taken in conjunction with regular Hatha classes.
Please note, there is no need to pre-register and/or sign up in advance for the Beginners Yoga Series.
This is a revolving series that you may start at any time.
Gentle
A class designed to relax, renew and rejuvenate body & mind through simple
yoga stretches along with resting restorative yoga poses. Props such as belts,
blocks, and blankets are used to aid students into a deeper, more comfortable
pose. Props are available to utilize or buy if you do not have your own.
Hatha
The emphasis in these classes is on alignment and form; covering in detail the
core asanas as well as yogic breath. Students develop greater flexibility and
body awareness.
Hatha - Flow
This style of yoga consists of a continuous series of postures which are linked
together with a flow of connecting movements (vinyasa). The practice is
synchronized with careful attention to breathing to build internal heat.
Hot Hatha
This energizing, and cleansing practice focuses on building strength,
flexibility, and balance, emphasizing the linking of movement with breath. The
room is heated which softens muscles and allows for deeper postures. Toxins are
purged in the form of perspiration and the body is stimulated from the inside
out, resulting in all-over rejuvenation.
Intro to Power
A vigorous Hatha yoga class emphasizing strength, stamina, and mindfulness and the introduction and practice
of new, challenging postures.
Pre-Natal
A class especially designed to support women through the phases of pregnancy,
birthing and post-delivery by using gentle postures to create ease, build
strength, and deepen connection with expectant mother and baby. All levels
welcome, but if you are new to yoga, it is best to check with your
doctor/midwife before beginning.
Pilates
Pilates teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. Pilates improves
flexibility, agility and strength. It can even help alleviate back pain. It dramatically
transforms the way your body looks, feels and performs. It builds strength without excess
bulk, creating a sleek, toned body.
Slow Flow
This class is designed to explore the foundations of a hatha flow sequence in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Standing postures will be featured with transitions from the classical Sun Salutations. This class is a great option for those who want to transition from the Gentle or Yoga Basics classes offered at the studio.
Restorative Yoga
This is a wonderful class for people that have a limited range of motion, recovering from illness, surgery or
injury or just don’t like to exercise. You can improve your flexibility, strengthen muscles, promote better
circulation, relieve stress and change how you feel.
Tai-Chi
Through the practice of Tai Chi’s powerful and graceful movements, each student unifies the mind, body and spirit. Strengthening
the core muscles becoming more centered, balanced and aware of their inner strength, allowing themselves to live a longer and
healthier life. Classes will also focus on the study of meditation and breathing exercises. So come in and see the difference
